Parameter vs Argument in function and method

Difference between Parameter vs Arguments in functions or methods is very simple; the variable names used to store the information are called parameters where as the information or value supplied for parameter of the function are called the arguments

Example:

function minus(x, y){
return x - y;
}
sum(3,6);

in the example above, x and y are called parameters whereas 3 and 6 are called their arguments respectively.
