Back to history of Pakistani politics, on Tuesday, 12th October 1999, Pakistani Generals lead by Chief of Army Staff General Pervez Musharraf coup Pakistan Government. Before the treason act, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif had sacked Pervez Musharraf but the coup was preplanned. After taking over the Government, Pervez Musharraf imprisoned Nawaz Sharif, dismissed National Assembly (Lower House), Senate (Upper House), all provincial governments, assemblies and governors working and army took control of National TV, Pakistan Television (PTV).
