Calcium is an essential building block to good health. Magnesium, vitamin D and vitamin K2 are know as calcium's allies.

Calcium works well for our body with following magnesium, Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D.

Magnesium

Magnesium helps the body maintain normal levels of calcium, as well as potassium, phosphorus, adrenaline and insulin. It has been shown to support the normal transport of calcium inside cells.

Vitamin K2

This vitamin helps the body get calcium in the right place (i.e. into the bone structures instead of the arterial vessel walls). This helps vitamin K2, along with calcium, maintain the body's bone mass and promote elasticity of blood vessels.

Vitamin D

Vitamin promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorous, and supports the production fo several proteins involved in calcium absorption and storage. Research reveal that combination of calcium and Vitamin D to have other benefits including:

  • Lower risk for type 2 diabetes in per-diabetics.
  • Promote strong, hard bone
  • Regulation of immune system
  • Support of healthy body weight and potential weight loss
  • Calcium daily intake

    1g or 1000 mg per day for Adults 50-year-old or under. Recommended intake of calcium from ages 19 to 50 years old for both men and women is 1000 mg/day (milligram per day).

    Intake Calcium from yogurt, milk, orange juice, salmon:

    Yogurt

  • 8 oz of plain yogurt gives 415 mg approx
  • Milk

    Eight ounce of milk gives 300 mg

    Orange Juice

    8 oz Fortified with Calcium gives 300 mg calcium

    Salmon fish

    3 oz of salmon gives 181 mg calcium when bones included.
