What an Egg Size Mean and How Eggs are Categorized

The egg size refers to the weight of the egg, not the dimensions. Eggs of different size/category may result differently when used in baking the bakery items' recipes.

Peewee Egg

A peewee egg are smallest in size of weight 1.25 oz (~35 g) or less.

Small Egg

Egg is categorized as small egg in size if weight is around 1.5 oz (~43 g).

Medium Egg

An egg is called as medium egg in size if weighs is around 1.75 oz (~50 g).

Large Egg

An egg is large egg if the weighs is around 2 oz (~57 g).

Extra-Large Egg
