Elementary School Student Finds his Answer from the Question

This is how a young student of an elementary school finds his answer from the question. A 5 marks question was Write five words you can spell. The student wrote:

This is up to you how you see his effort either think of him clever as copy checker/teacher shared thoughts in comments or wise as the student didn't take risk or spelling mistake and gave the accurate answer that he could verify himself while in the examination room.

As a matter fact that the teacher/copy checker gave just two marks as +2 written there? Definitely the answer would be correct. So +2 means extra marks than 5 marks of the question or just 2 out 5 marks. If the later case then its unfair as per my point of view. Please let us know what's yours about marking in Opnion.
