Gazette of Pakistan notification for the foreign currency exchange rates as on 13th October 1950. The notification reveals the exchange rates of British Pound Stirling, Indian Rupee, Burmese Rupee, Ceylonese (Sri Lankan Rupee), US Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Strait Settlements Dollar, Australian Pound, Turkish Lira, Swiss Franc, French Franc, Swedish Kroner and the German Mark.
Noticeably, just British Pound, US Dollar, Australian Pound and Turkish Lira were stronger currencies than Pak Rupee whereas rest of the currencies much lower than Pakistani Rupee. Surprisingly Pakistan Rupee value was stranger than leading European countries like Switzerland, Sweden, France and West Germany etc.
