Guinness Book of World Record: Shridhar Chillal has been growing his left hand's nails for 62 years. He appears in the Guinness World Records 2016 book with the record title for longest fingernails on a single hand ever.
Shridhar has not cut the fingernails on his left hand since 1952 and they now have a cumulative length of 909.6 cm (358.1 in) – almost as long as his body.
The longest nail is on his middle finger and measures 186.6 cm.
Guinness World Records’ visited Maharashtra, India to do an official adjudication of the record.
