Zulfiqar Mirza said in an answer to the question that General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf extra ordinarily supported MQM for being a Urdu Speaking to prove Muhajir Muhajir Bhai Bhai
slogan in his tenure (1999 - 2008). Musharraf was not capable to promote from Brigadier but he was given edge, saying this so because he (Zulfiqar Mirza) also served in Army. He also said that Musharraf also gave them weapons, positions, money as well as government in the tenure.
