Very unfortunate situation when death row prisoner Sualat Mirza, who murdered Managing Director of KESC (privatized later and renamed to K-Electric as well) Shahid Hamid in 1997 at Defence Phase 2, Karachi, made shocking revelations after confessing his crime in a video message recorded a few days before his execution date.

In video he said that he was an open lesson who had been used as a tissue paper. He level serious allegations on the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Mirza alleged that MQM leadership always announced dissociation with their workers who were seized by the authorities. He appealed MQM workers to open eyes. He appealed authorities to provide him some time to make recovery of his wrongdoing done in past.
He demanded authorities to postpone implementation of his death penalty as he wanted to make recovery of his wrongdoings he had done in past. He raised security concerns for his family. He claimed that politicians usually changed workers’ status for their motives. He said that establishment of peace in Karachi was the biggest achievement for all.
He confessed for his crime and appealed forgiveness from the nation for his ‘brain washing’ made by the political leadership.
