Ajit Doval is an Indian intelligence officer, serving as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Security Adviser (NSA) since 30 May 2014. He is a former spy and Modi's handpicked candidate to wage India's covert war inside Pakistan. He is openly talking of his game plan against Pakistan at SASTRA University.
Doval before his retirement had spent six years (1990 to 1996) in Indian High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan.
