WhatsApp has new privacy policy and people are concerned, but should they be? Let's break down what it means for users, The messaging app is asking us to share personal information with Facebook and by February 8, 2021.
Privacy issues with new Terms
If a user agree to the new terms, Facebook will be able to access user's contact numbers, IP addresses, diagnostic data, profile pictures and names. WhatsApp will also be able to gather information about your phone's hardware, such as batter level and service status. What will remain private are users' chats and calls. Because of WhatsApp's encryption technology even WhatsApp itself cannot access the information. User interactions with business accounts will be shared with Facebook, according to the company, several people in that business.
If User not agreed to new privacy police?
WhatsApp will implement the new terms from second week of February, if a user do not agree with new terms and conditions of privacy policy, that user have the only other option to to deactivate the account and go with alternative messaging apps.
WhatsApp alternatives
In case a WhatsApp user not interested to agree with new privacy terms, the user should shift to using other messaging apps like Signal or Telegram etc.

Much older than WhatsApp and also available smart phone apps, accquired by Microsft works with email as well as with phone numbers but takes more hardware resources and consumes more bandwidth but voice and video quality is much better than WhatsApp.

After the speculations in electronic and social media, WhatsApp trying to clarify that the update will improve, customize , support and market its services and Facebook's offerings. But most of the technology aware users are still not comfortable with the new policy taking as a vital threat to their personal & professional life as well as the business & customers.
