World's Most Crowded Parking Lot

Take a look at this... could this be the world's most crowded parking lot? Cars here are parked with next to no space between them. You would think dents and dings are a big problem, but the people who work there say no way.

It is an ordinary parking lot in southwest China's city of Chengdu, but it's also extraordinary in that its 5400-square-foot space is cramped, incredibly, with more than 70 vehicles, averaging 75 square feet per car.

Cars are parked bumper to bumper at the parking lot located by the side of an office building near the Mozi Bridge.

The 5400-square-foot parking lot has in fact about 50 parking spaces, but now accommodates more than 70 cars, according to lot staff.

The staff navigate cars into spaces less that half an inch from other vehicles.

Only one scrape accident has occurred over the past year.

Surrounded by several commercial buildings, the parking lot is situated in the downtown area where parking space is in dire shortage. The parking lot is set to be renovated soon.
